Our concept
Alquería de Los Lentos is a charming, family-run boutique hotel in an idyllic setting. Surrounded by olive and fruit groves, it is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, in the picturesque white village of Nigüelas. Its history comes to life in a carefully restored 16th century flour mill, transformed into a cosy rural retreat where time seems to stand still.
This small hotel has fourteen suites and rooms, some in the old mill and others in the garden. All offer a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with air-conditioning for the warmer months and fireplaces that invite you to relax in winter. Each room is double, with double or twin beds and Andalusian style en-suite bathrooms. For families, the larger rooms can be easily adapted, ensuring a comfortable stay for young and old alike. In addition, some suites allow well-behaved pets for a small supplement of 15€ per night.
The two acres of gardens make the Alqueria a natural sanctuary, home to birds and butterflies, where our chickens provide us with fresh eggs every morning. In our greenhouse we grow organic vegetables for the kitchen, and every corner is adorned with geraniums and aromatic plants, infusing the air with natural fragrances.
The swimming pool and relaxation area with jacuzzi is a real haven of peace, with its pearly interior and the soothing murmur of the flowing irrigation channel.
Other services: Hammam (Arabic bath), relaxing massages, restaurant-bar (open from Wednesday to Sunday), breakfast, lunch and dinner, mountain bike hire.
At La Alqueria we have a deep passion for gastronomy. We take care of every detail, from the selection of fresh and seasonal ingredients to the preparation of our dishes. Our wine cellar offers a carefully selected range of national and regional wines to suit all tastes. We also produce our own extra virgin olive oil from the fruit of our 100 olive trees, make organic lavender soap and create our own craft beer: the refreshing ‘Lento Lento’.
El Molino
Our winter restaurant, El Molino, is located in an old grain mill and offers a unique culinary experience with international cuisine and Spanish touches. Inside, a cosy Andalusian tavern, a dining room with a cobbled dome and another where the wood-fired bread oven once stood create a warm and intimate atmosphere. From here you can access a charming Andalusian courtyard and the Arab bath, where you can relax with a hot bath in winter or enjoy its coolness in summer.
Directly in front of the hotel, a terrace under a centenary pear tree invites you to enjoy a drink while the sound of the water of the irrigation channel envelops the atmosphere.
The Restaurant in the Garden
During the summer months, our gastronomic proposal moves to the garden, near the swimming pool. Tables under a charming wicker chambao and corners with sofas create the ideal space to enjoy a cuisine based on fresh seasonal produce. The menu changes daily, inspired by the chef's creativity and the availability of ingredients. At night, the atmosphere becomes magical with tapas, alfresco dining and sunset cocktails.
The Library
Located in the heart of the garden, the library is a cosy space for relaxation and inspiration. With its fireplace lit in winter, it is perfect for enjoying a drink in good company. It can also be used as a games room, yoga studio or creative workshop. It can be booked for business meetings or artistic retreats, offering a peaceful and stimulating atmosphere.
